A spiritual companion, teacher of presence, and qualified breathwork
practitioner (Transformations USA), Michael Wood is the founder and
pioneer behind Pilgrim Breath. As the great-grandson of Chief Druid,
Bertie Buckland - one of the last Druids to celebrate the summer
solstice at Stonehenge (1925) - Michael has not only inherited the gift
of gateways, but has for many years walked his own difficult journey of
the human experience. Through his seeking for more, Michael’s quest
demanded a spiritual embodiment of a realistic kind, one which he found
to be more practical, more patient with the layman mind. This inspired
Michael to seek guidance directly from Echart Tolle, and ultimately to
open his first Pilgrim Breath practice. Here, Michael leads meditation
retreats and in Ireland and the USA.
Michael is the acclaimed author of Just One Conscious Breath – the
everyday breathing companion for everyday stuff. Through his previous life’s work of 30 years, as a school principal for children with autism and special needs, Michael passed through his own dark night of the soul. He knows that what is simple is true and has spent
time debunking the frills and hashtags of spirituality and found
purpose in a humble resource far greater than the sum of its parts:
breathing.
Today, Michael wants to share his knowledge with you. Through his
community hub of breathers, Michael reaches to all students of the great
Breath Mystery (young and wise, broken and built) who wish to expand
the capacity of their lives at a conscious and practical level; those
that wish to find more in the mundane; those that long to return home to
themselves. Simply.
